How much will I now pay in duties to ship a stylus from Japan?

Try buying American. I've spent over 15m on eBay in the past few years but never trusted oversea's sellers with anything of consequence except maybe a c.d. Just me. I would imagine a nightmare if something was not as advertised or broke and had to be returned.

The import tariffs I would be less concerned about. It's the delay in collecting them and who is responsible for paying them. Since Trump ended the de minimus import rule, delays are affecting everything now. Even things below $500. Which wasn't the case before for music purchases. I ordered a limited edition CD box set out of the UK and it's been stuck in shipping purgatory for about 8 weeks! I was intending to order a pair of speakers from a small UK manufacturer but the shipping delays caused by tariffs have pause my purchase for the time being. If you purchase anything from overseas expect a longer delay.

I found out the hard way regarding fedex’s policy on collecting their fees and tax. I  shipped goods to a customer in Canada, from the USA and the buyer refused to pay the fee and tax. Fedex had already delivered the goods so they billed me for the charges since he didn’t pay. I have a Fedex account. 

I emailed the customer and he still refused to pay so I had to pay the charges. I will not ever ship goods to Canada or use Fedex for Intl. shipments again. This the first time anything like this has happened in 25 years doing business, and this has nothing to do with tariffs because Canada has always charged import tax.
