Esoteric F-07 to F-01 — Is it worth it?

As with most everything used, I would expect you to get a better deal selling privately.  Your dealer needs to pay you a low enough amount that he can tie up money in inventory and then sell for a profit.  I can't think of any situation where you are better off trading something as part of the deal.  IMHO

Have you tried the F-01 in your own system? I ask because although it is a stunning device, it does 30 class A watts per channel. So quite different than the 100 wpc of the F-07. When paired with the right speakers the F-01 is spectacular. You just have to be a little more careful of making a good pairing.

No, I have not tried the F-01 in my system or otherwise heard it, but believe it would be a good match for my Sonus Faber Cremona M’s.  The appearance of the amps is essentially the same, so wondering if the premium price for the Class A could justify the premium cost.  It is a stunning device.

Talk to your dealer first. When I purchased my PassLabs 60 my dealer gave me full value for my 60 toward a pass 250.
