In absolute terms the phonostage is a really important component and tt's sound is often held back by them. For a couple decades my tt's were held back by the sound quality of my phono stages. So, if you will be upgrading your system over time... great investment. It is really hard to tell for sure given your current components... probably. |
+1 @ghdprentice, it should make a difference. As for the Rega Fono MM MK5, you might want to look for something a little higher up the food chain if you can afford it, especially if you are willing to go used. And don't forget about the approperiate interconnect cables. |
@fritzenheimer I don't have your NAD, nor do I have any experience with the Rega phono.
