which audiophile fuse for the audiolab 6000 cdt ????

i actually got a generic ceramic  T1AL 250V  from ebay. i think it came all the way from china. ;)

i haven't tried it. just growing frustrated with never seeing the value when i check audiophile land. and i figured it ask.

maybe if i get the generic cryo'ed it's half way to being an "'audiophile" fuse. ;)

i've never heard of audion until your post. (i'm soooo out of the circuit) and i just looked at a couple. fancy/fancy, i'm sure they sound great. :)

When I purchased an Audion Silver Night 300B SET retail was $2500 (my used unit $1250) so times have changed.

It would blow a fuse if we had a quick BrownOut until I added surge protection.

This said, it used high voltages and I've never "tried" different fuses in lower voltage gear.

Hopefully The Fuse Guy will chime in.

I own 6000cdt. Good machine. I tried different power cords on it (nordost heimdall 2, nordost frey 2) and different digital cables. Yes it responds to power cord changes but not nearly as much as it responds to digital cables. So my recommendation is, you’ll waste your money on a fuse to achieve nothing and you will miss an opportunity to really improve sound by upgrading digital cable. But…I see you like tweaks so go ahead it’s your money.

audphile1, well i’ve actually did a cable. made it myself somehow. used silk for insulation, and  cotton rope for backing  did an xlo style cable using recycled 18k gold and silver for the wire. and threw in the furutech cf-102r for rca’s.

and blasted it with like 3000 hours of the tara burn in track.

not sure what it sounds like. but if definitely doesn’t sound like anything i could afford. ;)

i also made the power cord i use on the audiolab. solid core silver wire is the weapon. ;)

but i could afford an audiophile fuse from the *bargain bin*. just curious... :)

janewyman i’ll re-check his site. i thought i gave it a quick look in the past. and didn’t see the magic fuse value audiolab recommends. but i’ll try again a bit later.

with my luck the only fuse that fits the description will be $500. ;)
