Wharfedale Dovedale 90th anniversary

They do look beautiful in that classic or traditional way. I bet they sound great too. Seems to me the problem might be that many people don't really think of Wharfedale as a brand worthy of that pricing level. Sure they do great around the $3k level but at $7k they are playing in a different league. As someone above said, lots of very stiff competition there.

Note that for all I know they could in fact be the best choice at $7k. I'm talking more about the challenge of public perception and reputation.

I completely understand. I had heard the wharfedale jade series of speakers in the past and wasn’t impressed at all. So I took a leap of faith with these and it paid off.

@ozzy62 Curious, how far off the from wall do you have these placed?

Yes I had high hopes for the Jade series, and they sure look the part. Didn't love the sound though. Meanwhile the Linton and EVO series both sound great to me.

I never noticed they have an Elysian series which tops out at $12k/pair. Looks nice but that's a huge jump to a very competitive field.
