Spinal Tap - The End Continues

Saw this today and burst out laughing.  Can’t wait to see the film.

Seeing as it’s directed by Rob Reiner, it better be good. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks for the link!  Can you believe Reiner started this project @77 years old. Great interview.

When my friends and I first saw the original film when it came out, one audience member was heard to remark, "Why is everybody laughing?" They thought it was a real documentary!

I just returned from seeing "Tap-2" and it was extremely funny, an opinion enthusiastically shared by the entire audience. The lack of "original" new music in no way detracts from the humor, wit, perfect comedic timing and self-deprecation of the cast.  Highly recommended, especially if you watch the original (again) for context before viewing the sequel!

I neglected to add to my comment that the absence of new music was likely an additional ironic undertone by the writers: this was, after all, the chronicle of a washed-out arena rock band returning for a nostalgia tour and, had they developed new music, the director's and writers' intentions for the film's direction would have been entirely different.

Another interesting coda: the array of rock star guest appearances (and especially Elton John's performance) added a lot to the "credibility" of this "documentary."
