Accuphase vs Luxman

Greetings! Is anyone here familiar with Luxman M10x and Luxman C10x? I currently have Accuphase components consisting of an Accuphase A-48S Class-A amplifier,  an Accuphase C2300 preamplifier and an Accuphase DC-37 Processor/DAC. My system is definitely an upgrade from my previous McIntosh MA12000 integrated which I still consider to be a really good component.  The Accuphase is clean, precise but not clinical, dynamic and musically engaging. Mids are lush and bass is impactful and focused. It's like a beautiful custom acoustic with incredible sustain, decay and detail that resonates emotionally (what can I say,  I love guitars).

But what will the Luxman offer me? I should mention that I have Klipsch LaScala AL5 speakers and an Innuos Pulsar (not Pulse) streamer. I guess I'm just curious and love exploring different avenues.

Luxman sounds like Luxman looks, shiny and technical. I would recommend sticking with Accuphase

I’ve not heard Accuphase, but that’s absolutely not how I would characterize the Luxman  integrateds I’ve heard at all.  Strong extended response in the bass and treble, liquid midrange and glass smooth top end.  In some ways perhaps boring in that they don't bring any more excitement to the music than what is in the recording while being super easy to listen to with a lot of gear.

If you are looking around for variety though I suggest you consider getting something you can afford in addition to your current set up, as opposed to replacing it.  Perhaps a juicy 60W tube integrated.  I like the Rogues.

I spent the afternoon listening to a couple of my new Jazz favorites like Bobo Stensen, Par-Ola Landin and several of my  Acoustic Guitar favorites like  Kim Aspen, Alexander Valentine, Emilio Bonito, Tommy Berre, Chris Haugen and Allan Taylor just to name a few and I can honestly tell you that Accuphase really shines hitting all the notes,  nuances,  micro/macro dynamics,  soundstage,  imaging,  PRaT it's all there.  This is the system I fell in love with and continued to build - trading in my Accuphase integrated E-800S for an Accuphase A-48S + Accuphase C2300 and then adding the Accuphase DC-37 Processor/DAC. But because like anyone else here,  I love hifi and am always curious about other products and learning about other people's experiences.  I should really focus on room treatment veggie considering more of something which I already have and which is already satisfying. Keeping everything I have but adding a 2nd preamplifier for a different presentation is a good idea.  Thanks for all the feedback!

If you ever go down the road of pairing your La scala with a low power tube amp, I give a +1 to Glennewdick for triode labs . I am pairing a Triode Lab 45 with my efficient horns from Joseph Crowe and love the sound.

I have auditioned both, Luxman and Accuphase. Luxman is nice but lacks the warmth Accuphase possess in spades. I was immediately drawn to Accuphase’s refined and luxurious midrange. To my ears, Accuphase is very polished in its presentation, more “musical” in a romantic classic sense. SET like harmonics without the hassle of tubes.

Luxman offers comparable build and pedigree, with sound leaning towards balanced, slightly more energetic or punchy in some cases.

A-48S + C-2300 is a dream pairing. The refinement of Class A in the power stage married to the musical elegance of the pre makes for one of those “buy it and stop thinking about gear” setups, IMHO.

lalitk you have a beautiful room and your system is all around gorgeous!

Thanks for your input!
