Anyone know a custom woodworker who can make a case for a vintage receiver?

Try vintagehifinut, Matt in Bend, OR has made some very nice vintage equipment enclosures. He took on a couple of my custom wood projects, a custom plinth/armboard for my AR, and custom stands for my Omega SAM’s. Not sure where he is at with projects right now, but worth considering.

You might check with Hardwood Artisans of northern Virginia.  They custom make furniture and might be willing to do it.  It would not hurt to ask.  We have hard furniture made by them since 1979, and they do quality work.  Here is a link to their website:  https://hardwoodartisans.com

Woodworking is a hobby of mine, most of the wooden furniture in my house was handmade in my workshop.

I work in US native hardwoods, Cherry, Maple or my favorite Black Walnut.

I don’t know much about Scott options but this is real wood, with a ventilation grille that looks like the McIntosh, Fisher, ... of the era. 

It has a beveled front edge in keeping with the faceplate’s beveled edge design.

McIntosh cases sometimes used their Panloc side rail system, that can be removed or added if you pay attention to all the details.
