What speakers compete with GR Research?

Personally, as an engineer, I want a good design first.  Then use good quality parts then use measurements to determine the results.  It all matters if the goal is to do things right and do it well. That’s where price points come in. Of course then with speakers it has to sound good.  Design improvements require R&D.  It all costs money to do and helps determine end value. 

@yogiboy Agree on the Studio Electric as well as Sonner Audio. Great speakers from small builders, using HQ parts and implementation. Also toss Raven Audio into the mix. All very fair priced, as a matter of fact under priced.

BTW I am interested in vendors that compete effectively based on overall quality at all price points, no need to limit it to lower cost options only.  

I will say that as price goes up I would expect only the best, but what other products actually deliver that cost effectively?  

Also which larger better known companies in fact do overall quality for good value best?

I have Sudio Electric M4.   I love these speakers, exactly what I was looking for in my second system. So good I find myself listening to them 80% of the time.   Awesome speaker.
