Auralic Aries G1.1 vs Volumio Rivo

I have approximately $1,000 to spend on a streamer (without dac) and have more or less narrowed it down to the Auralic Aries G1.1 (used) or Volumio Rivo. The Auralic appears to be the better unit, but it’s older. My system consists of Cornwall IVs, Yamaha A-S1200, and a Musician Pegasus dac.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about the Auralic being older I run an Aries G1 bought direct from them as a demo and it's great. Prior to that, for 6 years, I ran their Mini. One of the best things about Auralic is they don't stop supporting older gear and it's well built and reliable in my experience. I know nothing about Volumio however.

Hello Davide,

I am interested in the Rivo Plus streamer. I have a few questions on the Rivo plus. I am currently using Roon/Qobuz streaming service. I am also using HQPlayer 4 software desktop version. Is the Rivo plus compatible with the operation of the HQPlayer software? Is the Rivo plus I2S output compatible with the Denafrips Plus DAC?

Thank you
