Best affordable Linear Power Stage

Looking into a purchase per the Title. The Allo Shanti looks to be a good piece, with favorable reviews and pricing. However I can’t find any place selling a new one and allo.com won’t load up. Is the company still around and has anyone tried one of these, I’m looking to use it with my LAIV uDDC. Appreciate any insights anyone can provide.

Got it. Thanks. I hear some of that but not to the level you are apparently. My system is resolving and I heard a lower noise floor, more definition around the instruments, less glare on the high end, but all the other factors were about the same. Definite improvement but limited. Maybe the uDDC improves the Denafrips more than the LAiV. Anyway thanks for the info.

@hdm I purchased an r-core power supply and a silver plated dc supply cable in the teeth of the current trade environment.  If they arrive, I will report.

@ghdprentice

I am sure the best available power supplies are available inside audiophile equipment.

Like this one in its separate box that connects to the Aries Cerat Kassandra? wink

No outboard power supply necessary here, no DDC necessary either. This end-game DAC weighs in at 80kg.

Yeah, I know, not affordable, but it is nice to dream.

I am considering purchasing the Singxer SU-6, digital to digital converter (DDC).

It looks like it comes with a "courtesy" external power supply (brick).

I was searching for a quality, linear, external power supply, and got overwhelmed with products that all sound like they are the holy grail of clean power.  So that led me to check this forum, and I found this thread.

I have a revealing stereo, and want to get the most our of my soon-to-be-purchased DDC.  So I want a high-quality, linear power supply, and the comments in this thread were helpful, and also somewhat inconclusive.

The DDC accepts between 7.5v and 9v (I have not seen any power supplies that deliver 7.5v, but have seen lots of power supplies that deliver 9v).

@hdm recommended the brand / seller Sengterbelle, with an R-Core.  But I read a review where the customer wrote that his gets so hot, he is concerned about it starting a fire.

Is his experience unique -- possibly got a lemon?

Also, Sengterbelle has many 9v models, at varying prices.  They all list basically the same "this is the best" type bullet points.  So how can I make an informed decision?

I am hoping that someone in this forum can give me guidance.

And if anyone knows of reputable reviews on these linear power supplies, please let me know.

Thanks...
