Who has gone fully active? What speakers and preamp did you end up with?

ATC SCM40A’s here with Naim NAC 332 pre and NSS333 streamer. Love the simplicity and the sound is top notch.

I use single driver connected direct to the amp.

I have Vanatoo Transparent One actives in my wife’s sunroom.  A lot of great sound  for the buck.  A tribute of what smart application of modern technology can do to raise the bar.

I bought a nice pair of Meridian DSP8000 I upgraded to SE that are a great value on the used market. They do still hold onto some of that British conservative tone in the mids and treble, but considering the lack of consistency of recording quality they are still a very good choice.
