What John said after he said it, and what he claims he really meant……

John explains his US comments and earlier published reports by a British journalist (l believe was Maureen Cleave) in a filmed interview with the other 3 present.
’’We meant more to kids than Jesus did, or religion at that time. I wasn’t knocking it or putting it down. I was just saying it as a fact, and it is true more of England than here. I’m not saying we are greater or better or comparing us with Jesus Christ as a person or God as a thing or whatever it is. I said what l said and it was wrong or was taken wrong and now it’s all this”
l never expected this post to go down a religious path, so maybe now we will get back to basics and leave these episodes in the history books.
