The quote you last posted is far, far longer than the video clip l remember. As it was a Beatles abridged history l expect my version is from another interview. We will see if l can rerun the tape. It’s at least 40 years old now

Unless I am missing something, @sns , I don’t think anyone has said that the quote in question was that The Beatles were ’greater’ than Jesus . . . hasn’t every quote (or possible misquote) so far pertained to popularity?

Jesus should never be popular. He should cause a whole bunch of soul searching and dismay.  He says it's not the room nor the tubes nor the transistors.  It's faith and fruit and giving all your money to the poor. And believing your speakers are going to blow any moment.

It is an absolute certainty that He would have been a fan of Bruce and Dylan.  He would have been so much a fan that he would not have even bothered to listen to any of the other drivel that some call music.
