Hi @ritter06 I did have a set of Analysis Plus cables (not the Oval 9s) on another system and I’ve always liked them. I’ve also used Chord Shawline X cables in the past. All good stuff. The Oval 9s sounded better --- I had switched to them before the WPs so I could fortunately register the "marginal contribution" of the cables alone. Whether the whole package is optimal God only knows but it sounds just great to me.
@soix I have to say that I am old-school enough that I am still anxious about drops on WiFi. I actually have an entire mesh of Eero Pros, though there are thick walls in my apartment and (for boring historical reasons) I am going literally from one edge to the other: internet entry and Roon core (MacMini) at one end, the Moons/WWP on the other. What I did do was terminate the ethernet at a TrendNet switch, changed to fiber optic and ran that into an Etherregen with a short patch of ethernet out its B-port and into the Moon 791. It did make a discernible difference probably because my ethernet run is so long. I was very happy with the sound before, and even happier now.
(Also very happy to share details about the exact fiber optic setup.)
That said, I should probably bite the bullet and see if an Eero extender with ethernet out can do just as well. Ah, rabbit holes.
One thing I will say about the WWPs. They are significantly directional speakers. I do have a sweet spot in my living room where the music is transformative. But I am not always in that sweet spot and I would say that there is a very well-defined drop-off as you move away from it. It’s still fantastic music, but --- how shall I put it? --- the WPs kind of tug you back to that one location. It can be slightly irritating sometimes, but look, these are seriously audiophile speakers and I guess I am not *that* serious an audiophile to stay rooted in one place ...
