PSVANE - Let’s Talk All Things about Vacuum Tubes

Hello everyone, I'm Melody from PSVANE. I'm delighted to be here and chat with you all again. As a company specializing in audio components, we've typically spent most of our time working directly with the brands that use our products. It's been a rare pleasure to have such close, direct interactions with you, our community. In previous exchanges, I found the conversations to be both enjoyable and insightful, and I’ve learned a lot from you all. Thank you for your continued interest and support.

The purpose of this post isn't to sell anything, but rather to create a space where we can have an open and relaxed conversation about anything related to vacuum tubes. The discussion isn't limited to just PSVANE products—whether you have questions about technology, specific products, sound quality, or anything else related to vacuum tubes, feel free to leave a comment below. Our engineers and I are here to chat with you and provide answers.

Looking forward to our discussion!

@asvjerry Thanks for your reply! I totally get the skepticism around the ‘AI invasion’ these days. Honestly, whether you’re a native speaker or not, we all make mistakes when it comes to language. I’m actually enjoying the process of learning and improving. Sounds like you’re really into solid-state gear! I’d love to chat more about audio equipment if you’re up for it. Thanks again for your understanding, and I really appreciated your humor!

....my sense of humor does have its' kinks......

Although I do have an appreciation for the 'tube-flavored sound', a modulated plasma source within a small vacuum....with all the trimmings that requires...

I have memories of trudging through a local park with a small kraft bag in hand.
To a 'tweener' it felt like a forced march with a bunch of tubes to test, esp. in summer.  The largest market in the 'hood (small v. todays') had a Test It Yourself! tube tester with a small stock of the most common ones....

....which later became less common.....and the tester was hauled away one day.

Transistors had come less of a novelty and 'tube rolling' had a different meaning and general result, buried under the decade layers of garbage....

Anyway....funniest pertinent spoof on tubes would be ones that were solid-state, but the characteristics could be modeled by ones' computer.

Biggest shame?

Having to find an additional heat source for those who listen in Northern (or Southern, for China ;)....) climes....

Do Not show up at my door with torches and/or pitchforks. 😏

thank you my friend @alightronics.

i have aother question about this:

@emergingsoul If you are currently in the United States, I would highly recommend trying our HORIZON series products through Amazon. Should you not be satisfied, you can easily return them via Amazon. Our decision to sell these products on Amazon reflects the confidence we have in our new offerings.

i went to amazon to buy new horizon tubes and read customer complaints that you send them microphonic unusable tubes.

why are you sending new customer horizon tubes too microphonic to use?

you must destroy and discard the defects not send them to customers who pay top dollar to amazon for your tubes.

please tell me when you are no longer sending out defective, unusable tubes

a very big question:
is psvana manufacturing tubes to be sold and branded by apos ray?

some of their tubes appear to be identical to yours

thank you
