Need help setting up new turntable

I am hoping to get some quick tech advice here. I just purchased a new to me Rega Planar P6 with an Aria MC cartridge. Got a killer deal btw. I am at a loss though as I have an Adcom GFP 555 and I am not sure if it is really going to be compatible with this MC cartridge. There are two switches on the back one will switch between Lo MC and MM/High MC. The other switch is the capacitance setting and the choices are 55 175 and 235. At first read through I thought I had it figured out but now I am totally confused. The specs on the Ania cartridge isn’t matching up. Is this GFP 555 even compatible? Or am I opening a can of worms and diving down a rabbit hole?

some advice and direction is greatly appreciated here.

Looking at Rega's Ania cartridge information page states that the High setting be On ( used ) ,

 "Gain Setting
High (‘On’ position for Rega phono stages)"

Also If you read page 3 & 4 of the GFP555 operation manual they help explain the capacitance setting , although I suggest listening to all 3 setting and decide what sounds best to you

Thanks guys that is what I initially thought. I got confused with the low and high settings. One was saying low the other source seemed to be saying high. The shop I was in was trying to sell me another preamp when I went back.

OP,

Ania Output = 350 uV, (1 mV = 1000 uV)

that means ANIA output is 0.35mv, which is a LOW Output MC Cartridge. It’s coil impedance is 10 ohms, ideal load is 100 ohms.

1. use the MC LOW setting

2. Use the load closest to 100 ohms.

@jmoboogie

I apologize for causing confusion , I looked into the Rega phono preamps and they have a high 400uV and low 200uV  setting ( for their MC cartridges )

Use the Lo MC setting .
