One of the most asked question, but I am yet to find a solid contender worthy of $5k, hence pre-owned is the only choice.

I feel manufacturers deliberately don't play the $5k game. They price it either below $4k or above $7k. They probably know that a buyer looking for a 3-4k phono is ready to take a compromise, so give it to him. Those looking for a proper grown up phono will somehow beg, borrow or save up to pay $7k. So keep the $5k zone fuzzy! |
