Vibration - What are the Main Sources?

A current thread discussing the best tweaks gave consistently high ranking for component isolation. I am curious to know where all the vibration is coming from that we are addressing with isolation. I understand that high volume listening can create significant vibration, but for the sake of this discussion let's assume we are listening at moderate levels. Can the vibrations from moderate sound levels affect the quality of sound? Are there other common significant sources of vibration that we are guarding against that can dramatically affect sound?

I appreciate the arguments against springs and I don’t really know how they work… but I went from spikes on my floorstanders to pucks, to mid- grade springs to expensive (dampened) springs and the improvement kept getting more noticeable. Springs really work @clearthinker

@mijostyn, as much as I deplore the guy, signing some "letter" is the last thing I’d do. Considering what a narcissist MC is with his flair for theatrics, making stuff up, trying to recruit a fanboy base here, and his penchant for shameless self promotion, I wouldn’t put it past him to have fabricated said letter himself.

It’s an old tactic of the right wing. He’s just following the formula laid out by his heroes and probably pollutes all the sites he’s on with his agenda. To that point, I hope and pray he’s on Parlor: that right wing site that promotes itself as censor free and a place for those of like mind to post.

Turns out, the owner of Parlor notified the feds over 50 times that something bad was brewing before the Jan. 6th insurrection and no one heeded their warnings. After the fact, Parlor turned over all user information to the feds so they could do a deep dive into them. If MC really got any letter, he could very well have been the idiot behind his own undoing.

And as for Tekton, don’t forget that Glenn Beck was one of the first who posted positive reviews of Tekton and with MC being of like mind (and probably a rabid follower) just ate it up and ran with it.

All the best,
Nonoise
