Harbeth P3ESR metal tweeter

I am reading that the metal tweeter on the P3ESR can sizzle if someone has even slightly sensitive ears to brightness. Would the Luxman L-505U integrated tame this tweeter? thanks

Where did you read that? I’ve owned a few Harbeths and I have never found the P3 to sizzle. As a matter of fact I like the P3s better than the other Harbeths that I have owned!!
I have read this in a number of different forums (Agon, AK, even the slanted HUG forum mentions degrees of sibilance). Thanks for letting me know that you have not experienced this. Do they require a large amount of power or are they easy to drive? thanks
I think any 50 watt amp is sufficient. They have a low sensitivity rating but they are easy to drive. What size room do you have?
They are easy to drive. They will play as loudly as you'd like with 50-60 watts. They won't have excess sibilance unless your speaker cables are a bad match.
My P3ESRs are really easy to listen to. I've never found them bright or harsh, but they do offer a lot of detail. I have mine in kind of a near field setup in my computer room. I'm many ways, they are my favorite speakers. They're also the least expensive speakers I own. They shouldn't need any "taming".
