Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture

What is the best recording of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture? I will perform this piece in a few weeks and I’m trying to find some good recordings to listen to. Right now I mainly listen to the Czech Philharmonic conducted by Semyon Bychkov. While this recording has many good qualities, are there any that are better?

@frogman I will be playing the 1st Violin part. I know that Solti and the CSO made good recordings, but with a lot of brass. Would It be better to listen to a European orchestra’s performance?
By all means listen to one of the great Russian orchestras playing the music. Gergiev conducting the Mariinsky (Kirov Ballet) Theater Orchestra on Decca for string playing probably as close to what Tchaikovsky envisioned as it gets. Great Decca audio quality to boot. For a more American take on the music and less dynamic , but simply gorgeous string playing check out the Philadelphia Orchestra’s recordings with Muti or Ormandy.  Have fun and good for you for doing your homework!
You’re welcome.  Remember, be flexible;  the concert master (you?) and conductor are the boss.
