New to vinyl, where to start?
@hertzhead, @knotscott thank you, those are some great ideas for future projects! @photomax that makes sense, thank you for the advice!
New to vinyl, where to start?
@photomax, yes I own a few records. Currently I have a complete set of Beethoven symphonies and some other individual symphonies and concertos. New albums aren’t cheap but I’m willing to spend time finding bargains. There’s one local store that ha...

@noromance it is a AT-LP120XUSB.
Just moved in - how to tell quality of in-ceiling speakers?
Thanks for the suggestion, that seems like the best option. It’s unlikely that they’re spectacular, but if they are it would be a shame to miss out!

I haven’t heard the original HomePod, but I have heard several Sonos speakers. Their Trueplay does a good job of correcting for the room, the speakers placement, etc. With that in mind, I’m sure that Apple’s “computational sound” improves the SQ. ...

speakers+ room + ears/ brain = oneMultiplying both side by variable “brain”:speakers + room + ears = brainA brain is a room with speakers and ears? ;)
Best value IEM phones for travel use from Android.
Do they need to be in-ear? The Sennheiser HD 569s are good around-ear headphones. Does you phone have a headphone jack? If not, does it have USB-C?
Should a stereo soundstage be 3D or 2D?
@rodman99999 thanks for the Audio Check link! Just now, I did the LEDR test with my headphones, and I could hear the test tone move up in an arc, in addition to left to right.
Should a stereo soundstage be 3D or 2D?
Thank for the helpful responses, everyone. @williewonka , I like your explanation of how the 3D soundstage provides a “sense of space”. That makes more sense than the speakers providing definite vertical separation.
