Emerald Physics Loudspeakers

Does anyone have any opinions on these speakers?

Have heard them and found them powerfully seductive, but boy do they need air and space around them. EP even recommends four feet out from the front wall. You need a big room, preferably well-damped.
About a year ago I bought my KC IIs and paid extra to have them upgraded to include WireWorld OCC internal wiring and upgraded caps in the XO. IMHO they are one of the very best bargains in hi-end speakers

Since then my system has been slowly, but now completely upgraded. Each and every step was easy to hear

They play all types of music extremely well. Since my room is 19 x 38 X 11, I also incorporated 2 SVS subs to flesh out their tonal ability

Eventually I would like to own the 2.8 carbon, which should eliminate the need for subs, even in my large room

A long time ago they stopped using Behringer XOs., and are available with passive XO or DSP
I own a pair of EP 4.7. They are very enjoyable and I think the last pair of speakers I’ll ever buy. If you are willing to learn how to measure room response and use room correction software like REW. Learn how to use and adjust a DSP unit like the Mini DSP HD you can achieve very high quality sound. Also a pair of quality subs won’t hurt. If not maybe better off looking into the Spatial Audio offerings if you want to experience open baffle sound advantages without much tinkering.

Though I think the newest versions of Emerald Physics speakers are less dependent on DSP.

Yes I believe they call them Spatial Audio.
