AURALiC ARIES G1 or G2 streamer

Hello

Is there an audible difference between the G1 and G2 digital streamers.

I'm planning on upgrading my Sonos streamer.

If you're not planning on going with other G2/GX components I believe you would be very happy with the G1. However, connecting the Aries G2 to the Vega G2 brings the Aries G2 to another sonic level. Adding the Leo GX brings it to truly special. I went with a Directstream dac (which I still own) with Bridge II to streaming wirelessly with the Aries G2 connected via USB to the PSA dac (tried other connections but USB sounded best). The Aries G2 was so much better than the Bridge II that I sold the bridge. Even without the Leo, the Aries G2/Vega G2 is vastly superior to the Aries G2/DSD in my system.
