Good amp for Silverline SR-16 88db efficiency ?

Hi guys,

I've got a pair of SR-16s which are rated to 88db efficiency. My last amp, a DIY kit, was a tube amp 8 watts per channel and just couldn't handle the volume levels I wanted to play at.

Any of you guys have any experience with the SR16s or powering similarly med-to-low efficiency speakers? I don't want to have clipping problems again, but don't want to sacrifice quality all for the sake of volume.

I'm looking to spend upto 1.5-2k on the amp, but I'm really just looking for places to start.

Odyssey Khartargo , you can't go wrong.....I use some mono blocks with my Merlins, 87db.

You might consider a Jolida JD801BRC or JD502CRC.

Or simply the Jolida 502p power amp, as then you would be a better, more well liked person.
