I have many more than 3 favorites but as I sit here these 3 come to mind: Mary Chapin Carpenter "John Doe number 24"
Dar Williams "When I was a Boy"
Lori McKenna "Lorraine"
What these 3 songs have in common is the emotion they evoke in me.
