Wilson Sophia 2 tweeter repair/replacement

Just wanted to post a follow up note.

Good news is that I received a note from David at Wilson Audio and replacement tweeters are avaialble for Sophia 2's'   He offered assistance in working with a dealer of my choice in getting a pair in a week.

Even better news is I sent the tweeters to Bill at  Millersound and he repaired them with custom made surrounds for $140 per pair. Thanks @jetter for that recommendation!  They sound better than the day  I got them ( I have better assoc gear).  He does outstanding work, is a real gentleman to work with, and prices are very reasonable

I'm surprised his name isn't pasted over the internet as I scoured the forums looking for Wilson Sophia repair/ replacement and only found a difficult youtube video.

You joined the "more than satisfied" club of Millersound customers. It’s a great feeling to connect with the real deal who knows he could charge you typical audiophile inflated prices but has no interest in doing it. And I still remember from years ago him saying to me he will not repair a speaker unless he knows it will turn out looking and working as good as new.

Not sure why it took so long to get your tweeters repaired, a whole three or four days from contacting him!

I have to agree. I recently had the opportunity to meet Joe and recommend Bill at Millersound..

Bill really was exceptional! Quality of work, accommodating and quick turn around time ( a day or 2!), price and of course always professional and a nice guy too.

After having a lot of concerns with getting his tweeters right, Bill literally saved the day!

Bill - I'm not sure what I did to deserve the exceptional service you provide us but I'd like to thank you for all your help! I think of you whenever I listen to music and wanted to say you're a life saver!
