Which 6922 do you like for your CJ pre amp??

If you already like the Amperex orange globe 6922, you should try the much better sounding, older Amperex white label 6922 from the early to mid 1960's. The orange globes are a bit forward sounding by comparison, and lack the detail, refinement and balance of the older white label.

I have CJ ET 5 using nos Amperex its a great sounding tube from 1959.Thay is the best tube i heard for this preamp maybe getting ET 7 soon.Enjoy!!

The 6h23 type 3 tube that upscale sells is a great tube.  The Gold Lion 6922 is really nice sounding.

The best sounding tube was a Phillips / Mazda 6dj8 circa 1964 sourced from Brent Jesse.   Unfortunately it did not hold up like the aforementioned tubes.   The 6h23 is in my Classic 2 SE
