what are the best couple of cassandra wilson cd's

Wondering what the best cassandra wilson cd's are...
Looking for a few suggestions.....thanks
I have her complete catalog and they are all very good. Her earlier albums are more straight forward jazz vocals while the last 3 have been more middle of the road jazz. Her current album Belly of the Sun is somewhat of a departure with roots blues and jazz tinged. I think that 2 of her best albums are New Moon Daughter and Traveling Miles but I don't think you could go wrong with any of her catalog. Good luck.( By the way the vinyl is excellent)
New Moon Daughter and Traveling Miles are both superb.

I like New Moon Daughter and Blue Light til Dawn.
For something quite a bit more exotic and less processed try any of her LPs on the Japanese JMT label; some are recorded direct to analog 2 track tape and some use a purist digital recording approach, they sound much more natural than the rather manipulated later efforts. If CD is your bag try The Cassandra Wilson Songbook on Verve/JMT which is a compilation of these fabulous sessions.
Blue Moon Daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Traveling Miles

Blue Light Til Dawn, then New Moon Daughter.

Travelling Miles is very good, but eccentric.

Her newest, Belly of the Sun, is excellent, and may end up ranking with Blue Light. Very diverse range of styles and genres on exhibit.

You can;t go wrong with any of them.

Personally, I use Blue Light as a reference, new gear test disc. Excellent sense of space and image placement.
"Blue Skies" and "New Moon Daughter" show this artist's gifts in a varied manner and provide a clear sample of her development and stupendous talent. I have her complete catalog and am drawn to different recording during various moods. Her talented and diverse interpretation of challenging music never disappoints. Sample slowly and drink deeply all of her work is worthwhile.
No doubt about it, New Moon Daughter and Blue Light 'til Dawn.
