Tube pre + Pass power amp

Just wondering if anyone has had success using tubes (specifically BAT) with a Pass power amp. I intend on purchasing a X250.5 but am concerned about the volume control problems that were experienced by another member.

Search the virtual systems for Pass amps and see who is running tube preamps with them and contact them. I've done this before, and most audiophile's are polite enough to answer if you are polite to them. John
