they work well - just be careful as some adapters (like the very well made ones from garage1217) come with longer pins that can damage the tube sockets they are inserted into -- if inserted all the way down -- the rule of thumb that governs here is do not insert the adapter into the receiving socket farther than the length of pins on the original tube that the socket is substituting for...

Was looking to buy some 6922 tubes and the shop I was looking at also had some 6SN7 to 6922 adapters (and I have a large selections of 6SN7 already).
Do these things actually work safely, without potential for damage to the unit this adapter is used in?
