I am sure a lot of the price isn't the materials. It's the R&D that went into producing the cable. Plus paying for the employee's salaries, marketing, dealer markup, and their desired profit.
Plus, some people, the more expensive, the better. I don't have that kind of money !
I used to use Transparent Ref w/ XL cables exclusively in my system, it's good stuff. I've since moved to Purist Audio Designs. Nothing against Transparent, I just like the Purist better in my system.
