The best plug in filter ever!

Puron AC Power Conditioner by Greg Voth

After reading rave review of Puron AC plug in filter, I had got one 10 days ago.

For your information my system is very complicated with bi amping and three Farad linear supplies.

Thus I have 14 power cables, one main power conditioners, three isolation transformers.

I had tried plug in fliters from quiet lines, quartet stecker, IFI, furutech, Nordost Qv2 and QX2 fliters.

I still have all of them in my system without selling any of them.

I am collector. 😁

All of them had brought slight improvement but not drastic change.

But as soon as I inserted Puron Ac filter, it made background black with more details and clear bass.

The stereotimes review is spot on.

Encouraged by the result, I had ordered two more of them so that I can insert more of them close to amps and Dac.

Now my system got transformed with more vivid and clear sound stage but not overetched.

This is the best 750$ that I had spent during last 5 years in my audio system.

Hi OZZY

Waiting on my order of 2. Will try the Q45t after they have been in system for a couple of days then will post

tweak1

I have tried the Mad Scientist cable enhancer. In my system it was pretty good, but the Q45t was much better across the board. Yes more money but better.

Well received the 2 I ordered today. Want to give a shout out to Mark. very pleasant to deal with a gentleman great service.

Plugged the first one in on the front end side, alone with all the HFC great products. the Bass what i heard first it was a little punchier. the Mids where light and airer. The high where a little thin, but that seem to settle down the longer I listened. The longer it plays the better it is getting so far its a keeper. The second one i will plug in tomorrow on the amp side. Will report my finding then.

Hi OZZY

Really liked the Puron that i plugged into the line that runs my front end and TV. Heard good things in about 30 minutes of use, with it getting better all the time. Later i plugged the second filter in on my dedicated 20 amp line that just runs my amp.The sound improved, but not as big as improvement as the on on the front end. But still better. I am going to give it a bout week more then add the Q45t to the blades. It sounds like you did get a positive improvement by adding the 1260? Please post more about it when you can. I will post when i get to that stage

Thanks

I used it on some power cords. With a light sand paper and emery board it came off with a good amount of elbow grease. Its was on about a day when i took it off. The Q45t comes off easy even after be on for a long period.

Ozzy

Thanks for all the great updates. I do not think i can part with all my High Fidelity tweaks at this time. Glad to hear your sound is great. Keep the great post coming. I do enjoy and learn from them.

OZZY

You have had the 1260 or Q45t on your Purons what did you think? Good deal not a good deal.

Received my 2 Puron filters yesterday. Shout out to Mark for fast shipping. Have now put one of them on my line that feeds the front end gear. This makes 2 on that line. Both near the wall before the power conditioner. The first one has been in for a while and i was very happy with the sound change for the better. Adding the 2nd one was again a very nice change for the better. Just opens the sound stage up. More air between instruments, more bass punch. I have one on my power line 20 amp that feeds my amp. That was a smaller change for the better, but not as enjoyable as putting it on the front end side. My 4th Puron filter i will add to the system in the next couple of days. Not sure where yet, could end up with it on the front end line near the wall plug or in the power conditioner after the first 2 Puron filters or may try 2 filters on the amp side.

But well worth the money

I plugged my 4th Puron filter in to the power conditioner. 2 Puron's at or near the wall that feeds the power conditioner and 1 at or near the wall that feeds my amp. Great sound and clarity from them the only down side after plugging the one into my power conditioner the soundstage is not as tall. Very happy with the sound just not as tall soundstage. May after a while try and moving it to the amp line, which will give me 2 on each power line near the wall.

I did try the High Fidelity Q 45t on 1 Puron filter. Right away it dulled the sound and took about 30 hours before the sound returned to the level it was before. It did not do any thing for the sound. In the long run it did not hurt the sound. In fact its still on the Puron filter.

Ozzy found in his system that they worked better without the HFC. I use them with the HFC products and like them just fine. For me where they are placed in the system makes the bigger difference. Near or on the wall before the power conditioners best for me.I also found that on the power line that my front end of my system was better than on a amp line.(I got a improvement at the amp) but it was a bigger improvement at the front end side. I use the same splitters and have many HFC products plugged in to them along with the Puron filters.

Ozzy is very good at what he does with his system. So you should try them with out the HFC products. then maybe add them back in later at different location on your power line. Just remember the HFC products take a little time to settle back in after removing.

Good luck
