Townshend's Who Came First & Jai Baba solos-- but you probably know those. Also Robert Wyatt post-Soft Machine: start with Cuckooland and Shleep and work backward. He's not at Pete's level of intensity, but psychologically, spiritually, and musically akin.
Rough Mix by Townshend and Lane
I've always enjoyed this 1970s album, Pete and Ron worked so well together. This was a one off but I've always looked for something along the same vein but haven't found anything. Townshend solo albums are a bit more rock oriented and miss those lower key contributions that Ronnie made. I've never heard solo Lane material but heard it's mostly of spotty quality. Looking for any suggestions on close to Rough Mix releases, including by other artists. I'm guessing there's not much.
