Perfect Path "Solutions" (PPS) eMat

Does anyone know the intricate details of how these most current PPS eMats differ, aside by appearance, from the previous two generations of PPT eMat & eMat+?.any insight will be greatly appreciated...

Thanx! Mooncrikit

"...and a slim stairway up to Heaven"

Says who? From up here it looks like a grand entrance to royal palace.
My preferred medium would be cassettes made from records (singles, preferably). Well, they are, when it comes to realistic sound, probably two steps ahead of short wave radio, but it is ok to like the ugly duckling at times. Love has no eyes. Or ears, in this case.

Ampex > TDK > Maxell.

SA before 1988 or so.

Mark Levinson? What Mark Levinson? Unless it is Becker Mexico Electronic Diversity, it has to be Blaupunkt Mannheim 24.

Now, you could have an older version of Mexico with tubes, if that floats your boat.

Becker Mexico tube radio for Mercedes 190 SL | Königs Klassik-Radios (koenigs-klassik-radios.de)

Here, for all the tube lovers of Audiogon. Check all seven of them. Tube rolling anyone?

Behind the White Wheel: Becker Mexico Alive

As I said, Mark Levinson? What Mark Levinson?
oregonpapa,

Thanks (it was me, not mahgister)!

I figured TEAC out, but could not guess the other three. Most of the time, multiple remotes have a TV somewhere around so I was puzzled.

I have DR-2 (I think) I got for $20 at Goodwill. That is why I noticed Nakamichi. Even mine plays really well.

I agree with tapes in the car.
oregonpapa,

What are those four remote controls for?

What model is that little Nakamichi?
"I suppose you have super strength and X-ray vision as well? Nah ... super arrogance is your forte."

Here's looking at ya kid! I mean, millercarbon. Up the gain.
"... we used the best electronics and speakers money could buy."

Could you elaborate? Some are not looking for the best deal ("punches above price" and other poetry), but for the real deal.
mijostyn,

"@glupson, Hey, it is time for you to make a comment!"

I was not planning, but now when you request...

"...he would have a look on his face as though he had just eaten a crap sandwich.

...once the session was over, he would leave and never be able to forget what he had heard."

Is it really that bad? Will it leave bad taste in his mouth?
docknow,

Of course, people will start asking to name some of the improvements. Once you reach 5689, Audiogon server's fuse may decide to quit.
docknow,

"I have made thousands of improvements to my succession of systems over the last 45 years, with each one having a very audible improvement and this trend has not diminished."

If it were only 1000, it would be 22+ improvements a year. That is an improvement every 16 days for 45 years without a vacation ever. In case you ever left your home for a few days and "thousands" really means "thousands" amd not merely a "thousand", you may be talking about an improvement every few days. Let’s say every 3-4 days. Assuming that you cannot be correct every time over 45 years and that some attempts did not result in an improvement, you might have tried to fiddle with your system for 45 years every day when you were at home.

I am truly curious.

What kind of career do you have to allow you such a luxury of time for tweaking your audio system? I doubt that Prince Charles would be able to pull that off.
docknow,

"@glupson: Why poor Randy? Sounds like he had a great system!!"

I thought so, too, but then it seems that oregonpapa's modest thing is better than Randy's. Randy tried, just to be outdone.
"And yet, my modest Legacy Signature IIIs are pumping out sound like that. Even better actually."

Poor Randy.
"A magnet when you think about it is nothing more than a static electromagnetic field."

Does this apply to "moving magnet", too?
"...almost ALL customers buying these products were satisfied..."

It does say a lot about customer satisfaction, but does not say anything about performance of the product. Those two are not the same issue.

Many people continue liking products that are not the greatest in many ways and many people dread products that perform well.
Some of us are iconoblasts.

(no millercarbon, Google will not make it quick, you have to know the words)
theaudiotweak,

I was referring to name of the deceased being dragged in here again.

Not separating an item from a person will inevitably bring the view of the person from an angle some may not like. It is like asking to be dragged through the mud and then complaining about getting dirty.

It is unfair to the deceased that people are bringing him in here. It is disgusting, in fact. Why not let the man rest without some irresponsible shouting?

It is really not about some proponents' knowledge, it is about insisting on bringing a long-gone person into arguments. All the knowledge can be discussed somehow, but this extreme urge to talk about a person is beyond comprehension.
Is it time to mention that Albert Einstein is also slightly overmentioned in Audiogon threads?

If you do not agree, remember that even millercarbon put Einstein's picture next to his Audiogon name.
theaudiotweak,

Here it goes again. As usual, proponents rather than opponents.
Not having any interest in buying PPT(S?) products, but following ideas here, it does seem a bit silly, if not desperate, to claim that one cannot make an opinion, or form an expectation, about something without experiencing it her/himself first.

It is odd that there is even an argument about it.
mahgister,

"I dont want to GO BACK to a useless discussion with you...."

You truly do not know how to take anything but a praise. I was not trying to go into a useless discussion with you at all. I was hoping to make you aware that you are misunderstood and point out what needs work and it is not because of your language barrier. It was really meant to be a half-useless discussion. Useless for me and useful for you. Oh, well, no good deed ever goes unpunished. End of lesson....
mahgister,

"it is the second correction i receive from you that is wrong in 24 hours..."

For some reason you decided that your words do not have meanings that others assign to them and that others are wrong for not guessing what you decided a word will mean at a given point. A giant seeing is seeing. A giant hearing what a pygmy is telling him he is seeing is not seeing. It is hearing and for that, giant can be on the phone.

Be careful, you want fries with your words?...

"Two people have survived falls by not falling more than a floor. On December 2, 1979, Elvita Adams jumped from the 86th floor, only to be blown back onto a ledge on the 85th floor by a gust of wind and left with a broken hip. On April 25, 2013, a man fell from the 86th floor observation deck, but he landed alive with minor injuries on an 85th-floor ledge where security guards brought him inside and paramedics transferred him to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation."

"...all giant need a pygmy on his shoulder sometimes to see more»"

Groucho must have had a bad day.

Maybe " all giant need to stand on the shoulder of a pygmy sometimes to see more»? Otherwise, it is a pygmy who will see more and giant will still see the same.
"How do you defend the dead and their ideas..from closed minded dilberts?"

Easily, you separate the dead from their surviving ideas. Simply focus on ideas rather than how someone was nice, smart, or whatever. Check the threads and see who brings the name of the man into them. In this thread it was oregonpapa.

In  New Omega E Mat from Perfect Path Technologies | Audiogon Discussion Forum it was jafreeman who started the thread.

Any inventor is not his product. There must have been brilliant products invented by real jerks. It does not matter who the inventor is/was, products are fine. Why proponents of the PPT products feel an urge to tie a person and product’s preformance together is slightly puzzling. It is not surprising that other side then starts responding to exactly what proponents brought to the table and that is the name of the person and not only the invention.
"Howard Hughes with Lockheed (was not an aeronautical engineer) - 1930's - he was the pilot, financier and front man, not the engineer who did the designs."

I would like to add a bit more how Howard Hughes was future-oriented. He made social distancing a part of life long before 2020.
" Leave Tim alone......your beating on the dead guy."

My attempt at that went unnoticed a day or two ago.

At the same time, for another unexplained reason, it seems that supporters of PPT products do, insensitively so, bring the man’s name into discussion. Can you stop it, please?

Why does every time, or virtually every time, when PPT products are discussed talk shift to inventor instead of continuing with invention? To the point when proof that products are working as advertised is that inventor was a very friendly and chatty person. Why not leave the man in peace? His products are his products, they are not him. Let him rest.

"I understand Pfizer is researching a drug for this rather common condition. I gave them Audiogons web address as a source for study subjects."

I feel like a guinea pig. Again.
Science and technology have become very diverse and complicated since those (relatively) early times. As much as it is possible that some brilliant mind makes a technological breakthrough anyway, most of the developments might be by the people who have dedicated some time to formal education about the basics of the studied field. These days, at least.

All those people mentioned above have been dead for a while. They might have lead the world forward in technical fields without formal education at the time when there was no formal education.

"Howard Hughes with Lockheed (was not an aeronautical engineer)"

He might have been smarter than thinking he could do it all...

"He hoped to hire Lockheed to design a revolutionary aircraft capable of comfortably shuttling 20 passengers and 6,000 pounds of cargo across the United States, offering commercial aviation’s first coast-to-coast, non-stop service."

"Hughes outlined the initial performance specifications, but it was Lockheed that would design the sleek, distinctive, now-iconic aircraft."

"...15 years spent in research, trial, and error in developing the products."

I wasted 15 years on things I should be equally embarrassed about.

"I have a minor observation for this and one more thread.

Skeptic is spelled with K, not with C. It is not an important detail, but may as well be the only useful knowledge gained here."

I stand corrected. Apparently, sKeptic is in North America and sCeptic more or less everywhere else.

Well, that is also some knowledge gained here.
Copy of my post from elsewhere today...

"The man who thinks he has all the answers has after all no reason to go looking.

That’s our empty suit."

mooncrikit,

For a person starting a thread with a question, you appear hostile to people not answering the question with what seem to be your preconceived answers. Why don’t you simply post an answer? You seem to know it anyway. Use deduction. You already know what is wrong so whatever will be left will be right.

So far, your contribution to this thread, apart from starting it, has been less than zero. You contributed only negativity.

If you do not like answers and explanations people give you, by all means, move to another thread and stop spreading your vigilant negativity here.
mooncrikit,

"Being a sceptic is fine as long as you create and build your own thread to do so."

Why on Earth would you start a thread with a question and then ask people not to contribute with their answers?

Well written introspection.
