personally i don't get wrapped up into specs like this. what sounds the best to you? i have purchased expensive older dacs recently over much cheaper newer dacs because i like the sound better. or example, the older classe, audio research, and mark levinson dacs are still in demand.

What's considered high in the signal to noise ratio department of newer dacs(62db)? Does this number matter if the dac is SS or tube?
