NAD M3 vs Musical Fidelity M6i

looking to upgrade my current nad c350 to a more "real" audiophile piece. Ive contemplated numerous pieces from Pass Labs (all time fav. company) Int150, Classe cap2100, Sim moon neo series and MANY others. Ive come to the conclusion that the M3 and M6i offers the most bang for the buck while still being reliable and great performance. Speakers (also will be upgraded) likely to paradigm s2V3, dynaudio focus 260, b&w 805D, focal electra 1008 or revels f 206/8! Thoughts on that are also welcome. I mainly listen to a mix of rock, metal, blues and country but other styles as well if im in the mood! Please give your thoughts in terms of value, soundstaging, bass performance, ease of listening aka non fatiguing and reliability. Thanks! Pete

The pass/int 150 of all you mention is probably the best of all you have mentioned...used/obtainable when you cab find. The newer m6is is supposed to be refined version.
I also would consider the hegel 160...yes it is more money.Getting to a place were your not constantly upgrading and taking the hit is just...well ideal...and I assure you I didn't do that but if you can...don't cheap skate.

I like bang for buck too...but refinement is ultimately is what I think you would want...higher wattage amps do offer that sense of scale and dynamics that a lesser wattage amp cant give...pairing/cables/teaks,ect and setup is crucial as well.

When considering a piece of gear...call manufacturer to as what speaker they would consider?

Going through trial and error is all apart of eventually getting it right.

"The only way to do that is become a "real" audiophile. Generally speaking, as the level of equipment goes up, you need to have greater knowledge and experience in order to use it to get good sound. Spending money and getting a system that sounds good to you are 2 completely different things. Buying from reviews and comments is not a good strategy."

I think Pete, here, is simply trying to get some good information.
I've been curious about Musical Fidelity and how people here think they stack up; I almost pulled the trigger on some NAD pieces, opting instead for better speakers for my Rega Elicit-R. However, would be curious, too, about Musical Fidelity.

Pete, not trying to hijack your thread. Interested to see your responses,
Jeff
