Good Evening looking to expand audio gear Is it best to proceed with laptop w/dac converter or itouch ipod with wadia set up any input would be appreciated
The "laptop" with DAC can offer better quality and flexibility if setup correctly. What type of computer and programs do you use? I assume iTunes is the program being that you ask about the iPod.
I agree with Ballan. If portability is your highest priority then obviously the iPod is what you want but if audio quality and ease of use is the priority then the laptop and DAC wins.
Laptop and PS Audio DL III is what I use and you can play your entire CD collection. I sold my Wadia transport because I was limited to what is on my ipod and that is backwards IMO.
