Krell KRC-3 or Pass X1 Preamp

I had the Krell KRC-3 for nine years, it's a great preamp. They say that it's a classic!

That said, I've never heard the Pass X-1 but would believe that it might be better.

Hopefully someone with experience with both will be able to answer your question.

I owned the Krc-3, one of the best kept secrets in high end audio. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately I've never listened to the X-1.
