Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

   Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
   My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

We have had a lot of initial success with our EQUI=CORE 300 and the WireWorld Matrix, and IEC inlet Power Bar. You can use up to 6 components (paying attention to max power) in this configuration.

Most folks are running these with their "front ends" - but we know of many systems running an E=C for their power amps or integrated amps.

Here to help -

[email protected]

Greetings All,

I just had a nice phone call from someone on this thread that mentioned that some folks are having trouble contacting me.

My e-mail address as stated earlier in this thread is as follows

[email protected]

I’m not sure what the problems are - but I also have a telephone number - that number is 720.317.9141

I’m terribly sorry for any troubles - but I’m here and always willing to help.

Thank you,

Mark
Good Morning,

My apologies for not getting back to this thread and the question asked. April and May are always rough months with 3 shows to deal with (we show at only two of them - but next year we will be at Munich) as well as new product introductions at EP and CPT.

The science behind Balanced Power has been proven out over decades, mainly by EQUI=TECH. Fabulous products made very well by a great company. We apply the same techniques and proven formula at more specific power levels.

Our balancing transformer was designed by John Levreault and was proven out over a near-to 2 year investment in design and prototyping. We split the 120v (+ground) into 2 x 60 volt legs out of phase to one another and utilize a "drain" to remove the Common Mode Noise. Our product works extremely well and has proven itself to be a major winner for those that have tried it.

The E=C is protected by a Fast Acting Circuit Breaker for safety.

The inlet and outlet cords along with the Male and Female IEC connectors we use are incredible and stand alone in their quality.

There are some wonderful power cords out there - some really sensational products... but Balanced Power in and of itself is THE PLACE TO BEGIN when dealing with inherent noise we all face with The Mains here in the USA. Begin with Balanced Power (be it our products or others) and you will never regret it.

Thanks,

Mark

PS - Thanks to klh007 for giving me a call to alert me to this thread again... :)
Good Evening,

Yes of course, we offer a 30 day guarantee. This is the right way to do business and we can offer this.

As to the 30 amp dedicated circuit - this is a marvelous idea and I've had this myself in my last house.

That said, the effects of Balanced Power on the equipment is in-and-of-itself a great way to go. The system noise level should be improved and the ability to deliver a (more) dynamic presentation will be enhanced. Lower noise = Better sound. This is a safe and effective means to improve your system at what we think is a reasonable cost (IMHO). Your transformers in the gear that the E=C is driving will thank you... :)

Thanks,

Mark
Good Morning,

As I'm new to this forum can anyone tell me if there are means to post photos? I have some before and after shots of our CPT EQUI=CORE that illuminate what I am talking about.

I know a lot of folks use the E=C after their conditioner (or regenerator) and find the results to be superb. That said, I would guess that 60 to 70% of our customer base plugs their E=C units directly into the wall socket.

Further - I would imagine that roughly 20 to 25% of our user base is using something like a Wire World Matrix in order to send Balanced AC Power to multiple units. I would caution to however to not exceed the maximum power spec for given E=C units. I spoke with a gentleman yesterday that was powering near to 600 watts worth of equipment on ONE E=C 300. It's working, but I cautioned him against it.

In June the prices will go up slightly as our metal work and powder coating costs are going up. We have made a slight change to the metal work as well (this is about how the panels attached to the extruded corner rails)...

Thank You,

Mark

PS - JM, if you are reading this thread I want to thank YOU for your lovely call yesterday. I can't tell you how happy I was to hear your description of your system with E=C installed. Made my day... thank you.
Well... I have had a few guys tell me that they believed going in that the Matrix was not the best idea - but came out of the experiment believing that the overall result was really fantastic.

Of course we are glad when guys and gals buy more than one -

In my own system it knocked out some very low level hum I had, and I know of several people that have told me the same.

Not enough wall outlets is an issue (at good strategic spots in my listening room).

@ozzy, please do let me know what you think.

Many thanks,

Mark
@ozzy - Thank You. I feel very certain you will enjoy this product a great deal. Let me know if I can do anything to help...

@calloway Thanks as well - I'm excited to hear what you think.

I appreciate this a great deal - and I can't wait to hear your feedback.

Best wishes,

Mark
Good Evening...

@lak

I'm so sorry you have not received an e-mail back. I just re-checked my e-mail and I found nothing not answered. My e-mail is [email protected]

It does look however that my "contact me" on my Home Page is NOT working - and you guys have my apologies for this if you are trying that way.

Calling is always welcome - 720.317.9141

@klh007

Kemp - thanks for your post and note.

Lastly - It's been a very busy weekend here with orders and a new review posted on an Emerald Physics product. Thanks for your patience with me.

Best,

Mark
@lak

Thank you very much for your call today - I really enjoyed it. Your questions were great and it's obvious to me the level of commitment you have to your system and this hobby. Appreciate your comments above and our chat...

@ozzy

Super excited today to log on to get your early impressions. Thank You. We should have some larger units here real soon - just waiting metal work now. Warning everyone in advance - these larger units are beasts for sure.

Many thanks,

Mark

PS - web master fellow has been contacted about this broken link - apologies again...
@calloway

Thanks so very much for your efforts here. Easy to see that lots of time and care were taken and we are all in your debt.

From my perspective glad each cable did well - and I expect that many of our owners will ALSO be owners of both the HF CT's or the CT GE. I already have heard from several owners of our products coupled to the SUPERB CT GE cords. Apparently there is a nice synergy there. The HF CT cords are also earning well-deserved praise everywhere and I look forward to being exposed further to them in the future.

Right now - most of our customers are using E=C units with some sort of IEC "strip" and everyone seems quite happy with their results (and with their own cables plugged into their strip of choice). Some are using E=C directly plugged into their particular piece of gear where they are interested in what Balanced Power can do for them on an individual piece of gear. Either way is just fine with us of course.

When our larger E=C 1200 and E=C 1800 units start to ship - I'm sure we will see a variety of Power Cords plugged into the back as these units have 8 Hubbell Outlets at the ready.

Thanks again for the efforts and energy put into this test.

Best wishes,

Mark

@jafant

If I can answer any questions for you - please feel free to contact me.

I will be away from the 1st of June through the 8th - but until then I'm here for you...

Thanks so much,

Mark
@jazzonthehudson

I will double check the mechanicals against the Hubbell - but it looks to be a dead drop in.

We've been asked about this today - and I will drop by to see Scott at THE SHOW to get my pricing and availability. Will report back...

@devilboy

Pleasure chatting with you - :)

Thanks,

Mark
Good Morning All

Wanted to thank the MANY of you that came to the rooms where we had Core Power at THE Show Newport. I got a chance to meet many of you "lurkers" and I really enjoyed chatting with you guys.

INCREDIBLE show for us - people were really pleased with our sound and products. We sold a "small ton" of units and it was lots of fun.

Thank You again...

Mark
Good Evening -

I can see there are many posts here I would like to comment on and answer - but I'm just back from the show late late last night.

Today was spent with the team getting things in order post show re fulfillment etc. The show was really huge for us - and I'm grateful.

I hope to get back here tomorrow and answer questions and let loose with a few comments of my own after hearing E=C 300's on several systems.

Thanks all...

Mark

@lak

Wonderful chatting with you today - thanks for the time you took and for your information re your system and how you tested. Great stuff - and I very much appreciated the information re your tests and the specific results you obtained in that one instance. I believe my idea will work very well for you. Thank You - and of course really glad that you are enjoying your CPT E=C. Thank you for the support...

@devilboy

As well - thanks for all of the time today. Your enthusiasm was awesome and I'm glad to know you. I can't wait to hear what you think when you try your test E=C unit on your Plasma. The results here were STUNNING. I really appreciated the big-time kudos for our products. Your explanation re the Classical piece was incredible - thank you for that...

I was able to share with some of you the results from THE Show Newport - exhibitors that didn't know of the product sure do now - and it was fun.

@bugredmachine

Actually there is one very large transformer made in a particular way in these cords. As many have said - the E=C is MUCH LARGER thhan expected and that's because these are very big boys. Over one year of testing and prototyping and 11 distinctive attempts - we finally got EXACTLY what we wanted and the results are proving out. These are VERY Low Noise and wound in a particular fashion. Maybe at some point I would be tempted to say more - but for now that's about as far as I can go.

Thanks all,

Mark
@calloway

Thanks for your note here. We love the new corner extrusion and it allows us to make an even better solid package.

Please note that the "guts" are 100% identical... :)

Thanks so much,

Mark
@rshad0000 Can't thank you enough for your evaluation. I'm really thrilled that you are happy and that our E=C is making a profound difference.

@lak
I'm trying isolation feet myself right now - metal cones and wooden platforms. Early tests are quite positive.

@bacardi
Same as above. Thank you guys for touting me on to this. :)

Larry - so pleased to see you here. Your room is amazing and the listening sessions at your place firmly allowed me to move forward with these products. I can't thank you enough. I miss listening in your amazing room - hope to be back again soon.

Best wishes,

Mark

@calloway

PS - thanks for your updates as well.

Good Evening Bacardi...

If you get a moment (knowing it's Father's Day Weekend) - please e-mail me...

Thanks so much,

Mark

@calloway

Doing something similar here and YES, I am hearing deeper into the soundstage than ever before in my home system. I have not been doing this at the office or at shows - but you can bet I will be doing it now.

@bacardi

Thanks so much for the conversation - I enjoyed our chat quite a bit and your passion comes through clearly. Really excited about CPT’s next steps and it was fun sharing some of that data with you. Thank you for lending me your ear a bit.

Best always,

Mark
@noelpastor

Thanks for your note.

We have voltage and frequency specific units in stock and ready for shipment.

220v and 240v together with 50Hz are available in all of our sizes.

Thank You,

Mark
I want to offer my apologies at the outset for including this information in this thread - but I am very proud to announce that the room we were in at T.H.E. Show Newport has won The Gold Award (along with others) at AV Showrooms. This is a highly coveted award and we all feel very excited about this. Link here...

http://www.avshowrooms.com/The_Show_2016_Newport.html

As well, we won a few days ago for Best Sound at the Show (Tied in Value Category) at TAS for speakers (systems) 15K and above. That link is here...

http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/the-show-newport-neil-gader-on-loudspeakers-and-electronics...

The Emerald Physics EP2.8 were surely the star of the room - but at the "foundation" the Core Power E=C units ran two rooms (and others after hours) with great success...

I'm very grateful...

Best wishes,

Mark
@klh007

Thanks so much for your comment. The larger units are cool - but we still think our smaller guys have a great place in all of this as folks are finding out.

Just had a PS Audio Perfect Wave DAC customer write this morning to explain the differences he is now experiencing. His explanations were very specific with musical notes included. Really made my day.

Last week we had two headphone customers write to say the same thing - the differences with headphones are massive (according to them) due to the "directly coupled" nature of that listening experience. I have not really tried to market to those folks - but perhaps I should.

Appreciate very much your comments -

Best wishes,

Mark
@devilboy

Really please to hear about this devilboy. I believed it when I explained it to you - and I believe it more and more with each day. The E=C on Plasma and LED TV's is really wonderful. My set at home really shows this off well.

I hope the cord length worked out well.

The issue as my Engineers explain it to me is that the SMPS power supplies used in these TV's just really don't work well. There is a TON of tech data about this - but the bottom line is this... these power supplies are used because of SPACE and COST. In the end these Switch Mode Power Supplies madly love Balanced Power.

devilboy - could you detect a different "whine" in your power supply on your Plasma when E=C is applied? I'd love to know. Free to write or call if posting is a hassle. 720.317.9141 or [email protected]

Tonight I'm on my own as Missy 2 Shoes (aka my wife) is out helping our daughter with Garage Sale duty. I see a nice burger in my future... :)

BTW - I guess I'm going to let the cat out of the bag here and let you guys know that we have some incredible Battery Power Supplies coming for wal-wart or plug in power supplies. Talk about the differences heard and measured.... WOW!

@bacardi

Appreciate very much your input and your call the other day. Very appreciated.

Best wishes,

Mark
@calloway

Thanks so much - most appreciated

Wondering if you anything in your system that uses a small Wall Wart or external Power Supply. Our new Battery PSU tentatively called Super Core is about ready. We should have some beta pieces in 3 weeks or so.

1200's and 1800's are now VERY close as well

Many thanks

Mark

@calloway

Understood...

Please allow me to ask for two beta testers from this forum that have a piece of gear (DAC, Preamp, Phono Stage, USB Regenerator etc. etc.) that uses an outboard power supply.

I will have two units available for testing. There is no obligation on anyone's part to say or do anything here etc. We just want to get Super Core into a few systems 3 weeks from now.

Please reply here - or to [email protected]

or text my cell 720.317.9141

Thanks - and Happy Holidays...

Mark

Entirely grateful to report that our EQUI=CORE was part of a room at THE Show Newport that has won an Audio Oasis Award from Positive Feedback from it's estimable Editor - Dr. David Robinson.

I'm extremely appreciative to be part of a room with Merrill Audio, German Physiks, EMM Labs, VPI etc. etc.

Thanks all,

Mark

@hieukm,

Thanks for your note.

We have many people using E=C units POST Regenerators like PS Audio, etc.

I do not have experience with the Torus equipment but I know the man that owns the company and he builds wonderful transformers.

We do have a solid group using Filters - and these people are running POST the filter as well.

So output of the filter to input of the E=C and then output of the E=C to the gear you wish to drive Balanced.

Thanks,

Mark
@hieukm,

Oh yes... the EQUI=CORE 1200 and 1800 are moments away from launch.

If you are interested in further reviews, I understand that the Greg Voth review of the E=C 300 should go live next week on stereotimes. It's an amazing review - I have seen an early "fact check" copy...

Many thanks,

Mark
@bacardi

Thanks for your note. YES, I'm hearing that these Audiozen products from Italy are AMAZING - and an incredible value too boot.

@paz307

Thank you for your kind words and observations. E=C is making it's first shipment to India this week and we are excited. Word is spreading quickly - and after Capital Audio Fest I'm receiving all kinds of Industry Requests now also.

@rshad0000

Many thanks - sincerely appreciate your kind words.

Off to Baltimore area this week - best to all,

Mark
Folks - I'm still home and will not be going to Maryland. I apologize to those I was going to meet while out that way.

Short version is, yesterday a brand new White Prius hit me on my right side hip area while this young lady was pulling out. Totally silent - I heard nothing. I fell and konked my head pretty good.

Home for 5 days at least now.

Thanks,

Mark
Thanks Gents...

Saw the Doctor today and he says I'm doing real well. No travel for 5 more days - but I'm fine with that.

I was due in Maryland for Part Time Audiophile install - but Scot was cool and we are seeing each other a bit later on.

Appreciate your well wishes,

Mark
Good Morning...

I hear through the grapevine that the Greg Voth / Stereotimes review of the E=C 300 should be posted very soon.

Thank you,

Mark
Good Morning...

@lak

Good question as we are very late with this product.

We decided to put our resources into getting the EQUI=CORE 1200/1800 out first. We wanted to more flesh out this part of our line.

The Power Core is basically done - just new metal to complete the final look so that it falls into line with the rest of our products.

Now that E=C 1200/1800 is about to ship - I will turn my attention to this and get it done. Perhaps 4 to 5 weeks max.

Many thanks,

Mark

BTW - we still believe that Balanced Power is the primary method for better sound - this is step one for sure.
@joecasey

Just want @bacardi said.

I'm always available to any of you that might need info...

My cell is 720.317.9141 (text or call is fine)...

Thank You,

Mark
@bacardi

These units do NOT have captive cords - the have a single IEC Inlet for Power In... and 4 Hubbell (Red) Duplexes for outs...

Therefore you can use any cords with them...

For those of you that want to see a drawing of this - please e-mail me and I will send you one...

[email protected]

Thanks

Mark
@aniwolfe

Really great meeting you today and having a chance to talk... I'm excited for you - and I'm thankful for the chance to share our tech with you.

Lets keep in touch...

Thanks again,

Mark
@dentdog

Lets try to link up tomorrow. The BPT unit is a great piece of hardware...

Need a little more info on your physical layout and from there I can make a best use estimate and figure out the best way to improve your system. If the amps are real close together (physically) I have an idea - if not - I have another suggestion.

[email protected]

or

720.317.9141

I’m up and at it by 7PM (Mountain) -

Thanks so much,

Mark
@joecasey

you are so right... I would probably take a moment and send an e-mail to the companies involved and check the draw... and then offer my 02 cents.

Thanks

Mark
@dentdog

Absolute pleasure speaking with you sir...

Working on your answer now -

Best wishes,

Mark
@yoby

At this time we cannot build them this way - you are the 2nd person to ask this - so I am considering it. I know this would not happen quickly though...

And YES - on the 1200/1800 we need IEC Inlet for the power to the wall and there are a total of 8 IEC OUTLETS to drive your gear.

Best wishes,

Mark

Just wanted to let all of you know that the review in Stereotimes is now up...

I'm entirely grateful and really looking forward to a great future for Core Power Technologies... We are in no rush and just celebrating the day (each day) and our gratitude is a big part of every day...

Many thanks to all of you... this moment has a very special meaning to me - and to my family...

Mark

@bacardi

Thanks so much - new stuff is coming soon...

@calloway

@lak

Thanks guys - that means a ton to me...

Best wishes,

Mark
@sruffle

Thanks for posting your questions -

The box is 8.5 x 8.5 x 3.35 (tall)...

The cables are not really all that flexible (although better than many/most)

In many systems I have had to turn the chassis on it's side to fit well into a systems "available space"...

Do let me know if I can help further...

Thanks (and thanks @ozzy )

Best always,

Mark
@aniwolfe

Thank you so much for the fine comments.

Please do note that the bass will get nicely delivered at 50 hours - and at 150 hours you will really know what this unit can do "in system"...

Stacking them does not pose a problem in my system -

Appreciate your feedback.

Best wishes,

Mark
@devilboy

Lynn and I are ready for you too... :)

Just let us know.

Best wishes,

Mark

@bacardi

Thank YOU sir...

@aniwolfe

Thanks for your note - and I cannot wait to hear from you next week after a bit of break in.

Thanks all...
Dear Friends...

I am really pleased and excited to share with you folks that Core Power Technologies has won a GOLD AWARD from AV Showrooms at THE Show in Newport Beach. This is very big for us - and we feel exceptionally honored and blessed.
