Harry Nilsson

Hello all.

For the few interested out there (and like me were unaware), there is a July 2019 release of new Nilsson music.  Apparently there were recordings made more than 25 years ago that have recently been resurrected, and now released.  I played it twice today, and think its a gem.  A few of the song are classic Nilsson, with 2 written by others, and all are great to me.  All in all a great great piece of work (and as a bonus it was mastered by Greg Calbi).  I envy that guy so very much.

The fact that I have this is a miracle to me, since I have no idea how to find new releases the way I once was able to. But for this one, I'm truly thankful!

The keyboard player and drummer of a band I was in during the 70s also were part of a stage production of The Point...a brilliant show...and the bonus was we got some theatre people to party with.
Great documentary, and although singing isn't a quantifiable skill (best ever? Well...) I can agree he was one of the best I've ever heard, and although prone to some whacky behavior (to put it mildly) his stuff utterly holds up. A fave album for years has been "Nilsson Sings Newman" which I often force people to listen to and very enthusiastically recommend. I have pretty much all of his stuff including a 3 CD set from BMG in 2000 called "Legendary Harry Nilsson" which has 2 sides of 17 cuts and one of 16...lots of Harry...although missing "You're Breaking My Heart" since the perceived obscenity would seemingly harm people's fragile brains...hmm...
