I had the Evoke 30 in walnut and loved the finish. Looks like real wood, matched well with other furniture I had. Very classy looking speaker. I ended up returning them but that had nothing to do with the finish. Looks were a keeper. They are a matte finish which may explain why they look dull in some photos. But it looked very high end to me in person.
