Classic Tuner

I no longer no how long I have owned the Kenwood T 917 tuner. It is in excellent condition. I have just returned to my home and in reorganizing things, I wonder if this tuner, which I was told was a great buy at the time and approaching state of the art in FM listening. I wonder if that information is true. I wonder if I should just dump it or it has value and I can sell it. Any opinions or knowledge out there? Thanks.

While the demand for FM tuners is not what it was years ago, there is still somewhat of a market for them, especially ones that perform extremely well.
That has been precisely my perception as well.

Here are corrected versions of the links DJohnson54 provided, which didn't work because the colon after "http" was omitted:

Kenwood page

And from the Kenwood page:
The KT-917 is considerably scarcer than the 600T and can sell for $500-750 or more ... depending on condition (two with rack handles sold for $980 in 3/07 and $971 in 2/11, and one without handles went for $810 in 4/11).
As indicated at that page, and also in a bluebook I have from its era, it originally sold for $1,000 ca. 1979-1983.
