Cheap HT and, forgive me, Bose

I keep my music and TV systems completely separate and don't care much about the TV. But, for reasons I'll spare you, I'm thinking about a very basic, cheap, easy-to-set up HT system for one room and find the alleged simple, wireless, DVD player included Bose 3.2.1 GS Series II appealing in concept at $1100. However, have picked up on the fact that no one on Agon seems to have much regard for the brand, was wondering what other recommends the board might have.

I have a Logitech Z-5450 THX certified with wireless surrounds.
Sounds amazing for $295 @ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836121133
It has 2 optical and 1 coaxial digital inputs and uses high quality full range drivers.
