best Front end for B&W 801 Matrix 3?

Just got a pair of 801 3's. Running an ARC SP6 with an ARC d-300. TT & Cart are weak. Any suggestions that are not stratospheric in price?

Have you tried a CJ of the era, or a more modern ARC??
