Audiogon Trades?

Why not just list you're trader hear on Audiogon that is what the site's function, purpose, and intent is for!

There are a few SLP-98s listed here. Why not buy one and list the SLI-80?

Trying to arrange a trade involving specific pieces of equipment is generally unproductive -- you really limit the likelihood of anything happening.

The person on the other end who wants your piece of gear is very unlikely to have the item you want. And, the people who have what you want are unlikely to be interested in what you are getting rid of.

Take the advise the others have already given. Buy the piece you want from a seller and sell your piece to someone else who wants it. That's the magic of money for economic transactions -- it really opens things up by eliminating the need for finding that one special person in a barter who wants the mirror image of the transaction you are offering.
