2005 Grammy Awards/Favorite Jazz Album

McCoy Tyner's Illuminations recently won 2005 Grammy Award Winner for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group.

I've always enjoyed Mr. Tyner's music, but I don't think this album is one of his best, much less 2005 Winner for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group.

My vote for this category would have gone to Jessica Williams' Live at Yoshi's. What was your favorite 2005
jazz album?

I agree, Jessica Williams, Great content and VERY well recorded
Here are two that I really enjoyed:

Geri Allen - Life of a Song

Don Byron - Ivey Divey

I thought both had a very high level of creativity, musicianship and audio fidelity.
Patricia Barber-A Fortnight in France gets my vote
My votes: Dave Douglas, Strange Liberation; Frank Kimbrough, Lullabluebye
