Is there any merit in former SOTA gear,
Yes, Sota was a brand of very good turntables, the acronym S.O.T.A. is for state of the art.....kind of like International Business Machines....IBM
A different Diana Krall CD/SACD, "The Girl in the Other Room"
Hi Robert, yes Ms. Krall is up there with Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn and a few others that I have most everything they ever recorded.  The only males that I have nearly everything they recorded are Chet Baker, and perhaps Paul Desmond.

Yes. Having seen her live several times and collected all she has recorded, I have kept up with them through music. At one live performance Mr. Costello joined her briefly on stage. She has maintained the fire of other greats, like Rosie Clooney a...

So if old gear is not outdated or useless....perhaps there is hope for me as a person?
What do you no longer have that you would enjoy a night to listen to again?
There was a Rambler/AMC dealer in my birth town.  I drove the Javelin, AMX and Scrambler....came close to buying an AMX and ended up with a Corvette.

n80, very nice.  Is the bird on the top left a Sandpiper?  If so, that was the name of a decent Steve McQueen film. Take care
Your thoughts and experience with getting the best FM reception/signal?
fuzz, I can see why you would say that.

The 240Z had major impact on the world of sports cars and what to expect for your money.  My interest in cars has been with me for many years and is nearly equal to my interest in audio and Bordeaux, but none can challenge my interest in my childr...

Thanks to all for you input and thoughts.
Biggest "pleasant surprise" components you have owned?
Not that it matters, but I have had some of the same experiences with cars.  I expected some of the expensive exotics to be fast and fun, but there were a few value cars that were darn good.
