Thanks to all.  Lots of good names and I remember most.  Even more that I miss are great restaurants from the past in the cities that I lived in and visited.  Most of those were owner/chef operated and fragile when it comes to cash flow, employees...

Well, experience has spoken.  And experience can never be underestimated.  Kind of like starting less than a dozen threads but responding to over seven thousand.   Now that kind of experience should tell us a great deal.

jacahnYes, I love my times spent on Navy Pier.  A friend owns a condo in Lake Point Tower which allowed easy access to events on Navy Pier and to the Gold Coast.  Many of my favorite places for a great meal are in Chicago....and super "night spots".

Depends on which system or room.  The basic bedroom system is a Nakamichi Soundspace 5, sometimes with an outboard CD player, mainly for going to sleep or wake up.  Another is a Magnum 208, with an older ARC cd player and Quad bookshelf speakers a...
