What do audiophiles want from a cable?
Yes.  If the piano is recorded well and your room/equipment are capable of producing, then the piano should certainly sound like a piano.  Yes, great cables will allow a capable system that is setup correctly in a proper space to more accurately r...
What do audiophiles want from a cable?
I try to use cabling to my advantage in the sound system.  Cables are ALL different and they have different traits and effects on components, rooms, and recordings IMO.  Key word being different lol.  No cable, system, room, speaker, ear, or brain...
Bedini Class "A" 200/200 power amp vs. MC-2205?
Wow, thanks for the input Mr Bedini.  Seems the op was very lucky indeed to have had the opportunity to spend some time with your amp.  This actually says a lot about the "lowly" MC2205.  I gotta say that I absolutely adore my 2205.
HELP!!! Parts needed for Tube Audio Design TAD-150
Paul Gryzbek was a fine fellow, and a wiz with the tube gear. He brought many a Fisher 400 back to life, and made available to the masses good sounding tube gear that didn't cost an arm an a leg!  I owned of his Cayin TA-30 amps with Bizzy Bee upg...
Mixing Atma MA1s with solid state.
They will drive them. I bet Ralph will agree. I heard MA1s driving McIntosh XRT20s last week in a very large room with vaulted ceiling... incredible, powerful, lifelike sound. Go for it.

Taralabs cables
Misternice, for warmth and smoothness in a 12ax7 try long plate Mullards from the 50s. In my experience this will do the job nicely! Good luck.
Taralabs cables
@Calvinj, congrats on your new cables. Glad you are enjoying them! Yes, the Tara Labs cables allowed me to hear rich harmonic textures, like that of real instruments being played. I want my system to sound as true to life as possible. My experienc...

Did some haters who are insecure with their cables have our old TARA Labs thread booted? Haha what a laugh. Well, ours do have a little more girth! Lol!I love my Air 1 cables and feel lucky to have them. What they bring to my system continues to a...
seeking compatible amp/ CJ pv10, Vienna Acoustic
I used a CJ pv10al and my McCormack DNA-1 Deluxe with SMcAudio upgrades, playing thru 86.5 db 4 ohm Hales Revelation Three. This was a really wonderful match IMHO. Sometimes I wish I still owned the CJ...
Sadly missed manufacturers
there was another that was 2 initials followed by a name (x.x. smith, for example) that eludes me at the moment.Do you mean C.J. Walker?Didn't Will Vincent used to restore and modify those old Western Electric tube amps? Wish he was still working ...
Sadly missed manufacturers
I remember owning a Systemdek IIX with a Grace G-707 Mk II arm and F9E cartridge, recall that sounding extremely good. I really enjoyed my Allison Model Nine loudspeakers... I used them with a Nikko Alpha 440 at one point. Loved my Ohm Walsh 3, an...
grills or no grills on your speakers..matters?
Removed the grill cloth from my Hales Revelation Three recently and the speakers were reborn IMO. I figured that 30 years worth of dust embedded in the cloth covering my drivers would prove to be detrimental to good sound...
